Wick & Word Shipping Policy
We’re a small UK candle brand and we do our best to get your order from our studio to your sofa as smoothly as possible. This page explains how we handle shipping and delivery.
This policy applies to orders placed directly on wickandword.co.uk.
Where we ship
We currently ship to:
- United Kingdom (mainland & most UK addresses)
If you’re outside the UK and would love to place an order, please contact us at support@wickandword.co.uk and we’ll let you know if we can help.
Processing times
All orders are hand-packed in our UK studio.
- We usually dispatch orders within 1–2 working days. Some candles are made to order; these may take 2-3 working days.
- Dring busy periods (new launches, Black Friday, Christmas), dispatch may take a little longer – but we’ll always do our best to keep things moving
You’ll receive:
- An order confirmation email when you purchase
- A shipping email once your parcel has been dispatched (with tracking where available)
UK shipping options & prices
Our current UK delivery options are:

Standard Delivery – £3.99
Approx. 3–5 working days from dispatch. -
Express Delivery – £4.99
Approx. 1–2 working days from dispatch.
Free delivery
We offer free UK standard delivery on orders over £50
(£50 total after any discounts, excluding shipping).
Carriers & tracking
We use trusted carriers, mainly Royal Mail. However, this may vary depending on the size and value of your order. Please let us know if you’d like us to use a specific carrier!
- All our orders are sent via tracked services!
Delivery times
Delivery times are estimates and start from the date of dispatch, not the date you placed the order.
Most parcels arrive within the stated time frames, but occasionally delays can happen due to:
- Busy seasonal periods
- Adverse weather
- Courier issues outside our control
If your order seems significantly delayed or appears to be lost, please email support@wickandword.co.uk with your order number and we’ll look into it.
Missed deliveries & incorrect addresses
Please make sure your delivery address is correct at checkout.
- If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, or because it wasn’t collected/redelivered in time, we can resend it, but additional postage charges may apply
- If this happens, we’ll contact you to discuss next steps
Damaged or missing items
If your candles arrive damaged or something is missing, we’re really sorry – that’s not the unboxing experience we want for you.
Please email support@wickandword.co.uk within 7 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Photos of the parcel and any damaged items
We’ll do our best to sort things quickly, either with a replacement or refund, in line with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
